Following the news that independent development studio nDreams will have two titles available alongside the launch of the Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD), expected later this year, CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh has suggested to VRFocus that the release of the device is nothing short of ‘exciting’. nDreams has cemented their commitment to virtual reality (VR) development, openly revealing that they have several titles in development for various platforms.
nDreams revealed their first VR project, The Assembly, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June of this year, and followed this with announcement that several VR titles were in development at the UK based studio. Following this came the reveal of two Gear VR titles, Gunner and Perfect Beach, both of which were confirmed for launch alongside the hardware this morning. VRFocus reached out to O’Luanaigh for comment and received the following statement:
“We’ve spent the last month polishing both titles until they shine, and we can’t wait to see them on the GearVR store. It’s going to be an exciting beginning to consumer VR,” Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO nDreams.
No official release date for Gear VR has yet been announced, however all signs point to launch prior to the end of 2014. While nDreams have revealed three of their VR titles, the remaining number remain a mystery. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with any further details revealed.
