Indie developer Krillbite Studio released its first videogame earlier in 2014 in Among the Sleep. The unique first-person horror experience proved very popular and has since confirmed that it will also be coming to Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE) PlayStation 4 in the future. Also incoming is a free piece of downloadable content (DLC), which the developer has recently shared a sneak peak of. That sneak peak can now be seen below.
It comes in the form of a new image which Krillbite Studio posted, noting that the DLC is ‘really shaping up’ and would be included in an automatic update for players once it had gone live. It’s not yet clear when the DLC will launch or if it will beat the PlayStation 4 version to release. That said, the team recently revealed that it had received its second development kit (DK2) for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), so support will hopefully be included in the new content.
Among the Sleep casts players as a young toddler that investigates strange noises in the middle of the night. The title originally released on 29th May and featured full support for the first development kit (DK1) for the Oculus Rift. It was funded by a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign which raised nearly $250,000 USD in 2013. The PlayStation 4 version of the title is aiming to include support for the Project Morpheus HMD. VRFocus will continue to follow Among the Sleep‘s DLC and PlayStation 4 version, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
