Guided Meditation Demo Gets DK2 Support in New Update
In May 2014 VRFocus reported on the launch of a demo for Guided Meditation, an upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). At the time the demo supported the Oculus Rift’s first development kit (DK1). Today it has been updated to include support for the second development kit (DK2), bringing with it positional tracking among other features.
Developed by indie team Cubicle Ninjas Guided Meditation is a relaxing VR experience for both PC and Mac in which players can rest in one of four locations. These include a the rainy Birchnut Forest, a tropical beach setting at Costa Del Sol, a desert area named Cosmo Canyon and the peaceful Yokosuka Garden. Players can simply slip on the HMD and enjoy being in each environment. The demo can be downloaded from the developer’s official site.
Cubicle Ninjas is currently accepting news setting ideas from fans for Guided Meditation and even letting fans vote on them. It’s currently not clear just how many locations the full version of the title will contain or when it might launch. VRFocus will continue to follow Guided Meditiation‘s development, reporting back with any further updates on its progress as it heads towards release.
