Another round of virtual reality (VR) experiences recently launched on Oculus VR’s official Share software portal. Among them is Bear Naked Rampage, a brand new and wholly unique title from indie developer Play Anarchy Games. The title can currently be downloaded for free on PC from Share and features full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display’s (HMD) second development kit (DK2).
As the developer reveals, Bear Naked Rampage casts players as a bear that goes on a rampage through a historic village after being captured by the area’s lord. Players seek revenge by mauling as many townfolk that gathered to watch the bear’s execution as possible. The title is player from a third-person perspective, with townsfolk flyinng out of the way as the bear crashes into them.
While only a small experience, it’s certainly appreciated to see a different kind of VR experience in Bear Naked Rampage. It should also hold some fans over while they continue to wait for news on Bear Simulator, which is aiming to include Oculus Rift support itself. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all applications for VR, reporting back with any further updates on them.
