This week sees the launch of a Steam Greenlight campaign for a new virtual reality (VR) compatible title similar to the likes of Bossa Studios’ Surgeon Simulator videogames. That title is Big Teeth from indie developer helliku, which hopes to secure enough positive votes to be sold on Valve’s digital PC store come launch. Big Teeth features full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
As the name implies, Big Teeth is all about teeth. Players are cast as the assistant to a respected dentist that somehow finds themselves in charge of a number of operations to be carried on on large animals. Six different treatment tools can be used to operate on the likes of crocodiles and sharks. If the player isn’t careful then they may well find their hand bitten off by one of these creatures.
It’s currently not clear when Big Teeth will launch though it certainly seems to be one that VR fans should keep an eye on. In fact the developer is yet to reveal much more about the title. Motion controls, for example, aren’t mentioned although the developer does note that the title works well with both keyboard and gamepad methods. VRFocus will continue to follow Big Teeth‘s progress, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
