One of the few full virtual reality (VR) compatible videogames to launch on Steam this year was Among the Sleep, a unique first-person horror experience from indie developer Krillbite Studio. The title, which features full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), captured the attention of videogame fans with its two-year old protagonist. Now the developer has dated the upcoming free downloadable content (DLC) for the title, and players won’t have to wait long.
The DLC expansion will be launching on 5th November 2014 at no extra cost to those who already own Among the Sleep. It features new content for fans to explore as the same protagonist. On that note, Among the Sleep is currently on sale on Steam, priced at £8.99 GBP until 3rd November. The original title sees the player investigate strange noises heard in the middle of the night, accompanied by their own walking, talking teddy bear.
Among the Sleep is also due for release on PlayStation 4 with support for the Project Morpheus HMD. This version of the title is yet to see a solid release date, although the developer has recently teased that it is nearing completion. It’s not clear as to if the title could launch ahead of Project Morpheus itself, in which case it might add in support post-release. VRFocus will continue to follow Among the Sleep, reporting back with all the latest updates.
