Indie developer Lucid VR is currently pushing to raise funds for its ongoing Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for virtual reality (VR) compatible action title, ZVR Apocalypse. The studio is hoping to raise $30,000 AUD to help fund development of the title, which features full support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display. Part of that push involves the release of a brand new teaser trailer for the experience, which can now be seen below.
The footage consists of a mix of gameplay and what appear to be cutscenes showcasing some incredibly detailed zombie models. As the trailer warns, ZVR Apocalypse‘s brand of undead hordes don’t just shuffle but actually hunt the player. As a result, it’s up to players to use every weapon at their disposal to eliminate the endless crowds in gruesome ways through a mix of both third and fist-person gameplay.
There’s still a while to go before ZVR Apocalypse‘s campaign comes to a close on 28th September 2014. Those interested can currently pledge $30 AUD to secure a digital copy of the title for its intended release in May 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
