Vrvana has today revealed the first public outing for their forthcoming virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), the Totem. Set to be playable next week, the HMD will debut with Iris VR’s Technolust. The firm has announced this as a tease for their upcoming Kickstarter campaign which is due to arrive ‘real soon’.
The Totem HMD has been in the public eye for some time but has yet to be presented to the public in a playable fashion. This will change nest week, when Vrvana will be present at the MTLVR event, Montreal, on 18th September 2014. This comes ahead of the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for the Totem, which Vrvana have stated is coming ‘mid-September’.
“Yes, that’s right – we’re finally on our way to making a huge Kickstarter splash!” Reads the latest communication from Vrvana. “Our anticipated launch date is mid-September so feel free to be social and help spread the word.”
The video below showcases the version of the Totem that will be available using Iris VR’s Technolust, the popular science-fiction thriller which itself benefited from an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign.
