Little Green Men Games is currently gearing up for the full launch of its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible space combat title, Starpoint Gemini 2. The videogame’s full release, which features support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD), has been a long time coming, with the experience having been available through Steam’s Early Access service through much of 2014. Now the developer has released a new cinematic trailer for Starpoint Gemini 2 to mark the title’s impending release.
The trailer, which clocks in at just under two and a half minutes depicts a climactic battle between Starpoint Gemini 2′s various factions in the deep regions of space. Made with pre-rendered footage instead of gameplay, it provides a cinematic take on what players can expected to encounter in the full title.
While the full title is still aiming to launch this month, another Early Access update will be arriving on Friday, 12th September 2014 adding features such as Steam’s Big Picture Mode, new music for combat and a number of graphical improvements. VRFocus will continue to follow Starpoint Gemini 2 going forward, reporting back with any further updates.
