Monstrum Gets New Batch of Screenshots

Indie developer Team Junkfish announced its upcoming procedurally generated, virtual reality (VR) compatible horror experience Monstrum earlier in the year. The developer has since showcased the title at a number of events throughout the year, even demonstrating its support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from the team now, although this week sees it release a fresh batch of screenshots taken directly from the title.A total of eight new images can be seen below, showing off Monstrum‘s particular brand of dank environments from its setting on board an abandoned ship. Most of the shots showcase the detail that Team Junkfish has poured into areas, while one particularly alarming image shows the monster that hunts players as they search for an escape route. The hulking beast is certainly uniquely designed, with a firey orange light shining from his eyes and mouth.

Monstrum was originally aiming for a 2014 release but is now set to launch on PC in 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
