Yet another new virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame has been added to the line up for the upcoming EGX London event in Earls Court on 25th – 28th September. Team Junkfish’s anticipated survival horror experience, Monstrum, will be joining the likes of Dream, Omega Agent and War Thunder as VR compatible videogames on display at the public show. Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) creator Oculus VR will also be present with its own dedicated stand.
Monstrum is a first-person horror experience in which players must escape from a ship as they are hunted by a monster. The environment is procedurally generated, meaning players must learn its layout from scratch each and every time they play. Players must search for items and more to aid them while hiding from the beast that is out for their blood. The full experience is expected to launch in 2015 with full support for the Oculus Rift.
Expect more on Monstrum as it is shown off to both public and press alike next week, then. The title will be available in the Rezzed area of the show floor. VRFocus will continue to follow the title moving forward, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
