Today sees a seemingly new development studio tease a seemingly new virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame. That developer is Gogh Studio, which is teasing a new Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) compatible experience named Seam. Very little is known about the title right now, with the team having posted its first teaser image onto the Oculus Rift subreddit earlier today. That image can now be seen below.
The teaser image for Seam shows what appears to be a real life image a baseball sitting on grass. One of the seams on the ball itself can be seen running along the ball. Is Gogh Studio teasing a baseball simulation videogame? It wouldn’t be the first baseball-based VR title, although the only other option right now is the relatively small Oculus Rift experience, VRFaceball.
The logo for Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 can be seen at the bottom of the image as can the Oculus VR one. It also confirms that the title will be heading to PC. As for when we might hear more information about Seam, the developer simply says that it will be ‘coming soon’. It’s anyone’s guess as to just what this title really is, then. VRFocus will continue to follow Seam going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
