This week saw indie developer Vertigo Games reach a brand new milestone with its virtual reality (VR) compatible diving videogame, World of Diving, as it hit Steam’s Early Access system. The title can currently be picked up for £14.99 GBP and is compatible with the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). Earlier in the month VRFocus spoke to Lead Game Designer Peter Deurloo about the project.
In the interview below Deurloo talks about World of Diving‘s progress thus far, including its community support through user generated content and confirmation of a version for Microsoft’s Xbox One console. There’s also talk of the Oculus Rift support and the possibility of a VR HMD for the Xbox One itself.
VRFocus will continue to follow World of Diving going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
