Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has found time to squeeze in a third teaser for its Gamescom press conference just ahead of its launch tomorrow. The company has released yet another new trailer for the event, staying in line with the themes of violence and cold seen in previous trailers. The clip can be seen below.
It could be that that the teases are for Until Dawn, a first-person horror experience originally revealed for PlayStation 3 at Gamescom 2012. Since then the title has gone into hiding, with rumours pointing towards development moving to PlayStation 4 and the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). Developer Supermassive Games has since worked with the HMD to deliver an E3 2014 demo, and SCE’s Shuhei Yoshida has said that the title would be interesting with the device. The added message ‘Horror Reinvented’ that accompanies this tease only adds fuel to that fire.
The PlayStation press conference gets underway at 18:00 BST on 12th August 2014. It’s not clear if SCE has any further plans to talk about Project Morpheus at the event. VRFocus will be bringing you all the latest VR news from the show and Gamescom itself.
