Spectre Gets New Screenshots

Earlier this week VRFocus reported that upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible horror title Spectre had been delayed slightly. By way of compensation, developer Proscenium will be offering a new demo for the title in the form of a release on Steam’s Early Access programme. The demo will contain a new level as well as gameplay mechanics and character models. Now new screenshots of the upcoming release have been revealed, which can be seen below.

A total of three screenshots can be seen, which include a look at a ‘revamped’ mansion with new corridors for players to explore. The developer has also noted that the demo includes improvements to lighting, textures and design to give the environment a visual overhaul. According to the team some of the new level’s areas will only be accessible after players have solved some puzzles within the mansion.

Spectre is a four player multiplayer title in which a team of three hunt down another player that controls a Spectre, a monster with access to a range of abilities that can trick their opponents. The title ran a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier in 2014 and plans to launch on PC with full support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). VRFocus will continue to follow Spectre‘s progress going forward, reporting back with any further updates.
