Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) is currently gearing up for its Gamescom press conference on 12th August 2014, where it is planning to reveal new videogames and provide updates on its current slate of projects for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Earlier in the week the company teased fans with an image of a snow flake and blood, accompanied with a short video. It was though that this could suggest the return of long lost PlayStation 3 exclusive Until Dawn.
Today sees the company provide another short teaser which appears to be along the lines of the one shown earlier in the week. The clip, which can be seen below, simply shows an axe burying itself into a chopped tree trunk, with blood running down the blade. This is followed by more imagery of ice cracking, keeping the theme of the snowflake and blood teased earlier. It would certainly seem that this is again hinting at Until Dawn’s reintroduction.
It has been rumoured since the reveal of the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) that Until Dawn has transitioned to the PlayStation 4 and now supports the device. These rumours were strengthened by the appear of a new Project Morpheus tech demo from Until Dawn developers Supermassive Games at E3 2014. Is it finally time to lift the lid of the project, which was originally revealed at Gamescom 2012?
VRFocus will continue to follow SCE, reporting back with any more updates on the project going forward.
