Earlier this week Namazeu Studios launched a Steam Greenlight campaign for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible title, Nebulous, which supports the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). The title hopes to secure enough positive votes to be approved for sale on Valve’s digital PC service come launch in the final quarter of 2014. Now the title has received its first trailer, which can be seen below.
The trailer contains the first footage of Nebulous, in which an astronaut gets sucked through a wormhole in space and must try and make his way through over 40 maze-like levels. As can be seen in the footage, players arrange a set of obstacles in order to get the astronaut to fall and bounce his way into the next wormhole, taking them to the next level. The title uses the Oculus Rift’s head-tracking for enable players to move levels around hands-free.
Nebulous currently doesn’t have a more specific date than its Q4 2014 window. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
