One of the more interesting virtual reality (VR) experiences to launch in recent months is Museum of Games, an expansive gallery of character models, props and posters from a wide range of videogames both old and new. The free title is compatible with the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD) and developed by VR enthusiast Thiago Alcantara. Now that same developer has released a sequel to the original, Museum of Games 2.
Museum of Games 2 is based around the exact same concept of exploring a gallery of character models and more, although this time also features support for the second development kit (DK2) of the Oculus Rift, allowing players to inspect exhibits using positional tracking. According to the developer the new title features 76 different chatacyer models, weapons and accessories accross three different areas.
Models on display come from a range of popular videogame franchises including the likes of Ada Wong from Resident Evil, War from Darksiders of Ubisoft’s platforming mascot, Rayman. The walls of each area are also littered with cover art and images of various other titles.
