Last month saw the release of Ghostship Aftermath, the first-person sci-fi horror experience that is due to receive support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) on 8th August 2014. While developer MAG Studios is also focusing on its ucpoming first-person shooter (FPS) CDF Ghostship, the support for the VR title won’t be dropping off any time soon. Ghostship Aftermath will be seeing two downloadable content (DLC) packs in the near future.
The first DLC was revealed in the build up to Ghostship Aftermath‘s launch. It takes the form of a free roam mode which will allow players to tour the title’s derelict spaceship setting without the hassle of enemies and objectives. The DLC was offered as a free pre-order bonus for players and will be releasing as a standalone piece for around £4.99 GBP. The second piece of DLC, which was unannounced until now, is yet to be detailed.
Ghostship Aftermath is currently available for Windows PCs for £19.99. Set 350 years from now, the title tasks players with exploring a lost spaceship, The CDF Goliath. Players will fight against randomly-spawning enemies from within a helmet view that provides them with information such as ammo. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress moving forward, reporting back with any further updates.
