September 2014 is already set to be packed full of virtual reality (VR) related events, including the Eurogamer Expo in London on 25th – 28th September and of course the inaugural Oculus Connect developer conference in Hollywood, California on 19th – 20th September. That isn’t stopping the VRTGO conference though, which has announced today that it will be taking place on 11th September in the North East of England, with plenty of guest speakers in attendance.
The event is set to take place between 09:00 – 23:00 BST at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, England. Though specific speakers are yet to be announced, companies such as the Oculus Rift’s Oculus VR, Project Morpheus’ Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), EVE: Valkyrie‘s CCP Games and ZeroLight will be represented. Tickets for the event can be purchased now for £75.00 GBP at an early bird price and £110.00 for a full experience including access to a party.
“Attend this conference and find out about where the future of VR is taking the entertainment and games industry and also see what this cutting edge technology can do for serious applications for automotive, modelling, training, marketing etc,” a description of the event reads. More speakers are set to be announced closer to the event, though both the Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus have been confirmed to be there.
VRFocus will continue to follow any and all events surrounding VR, reporting back with any more news and updates.
