It’s been a while since since we’ve heard from upcoming virtual reality (VR) massively multiplayer online (MMO) experience Wander. The Oculus Rift compatible title passed Steam’s Greenlight campaign earlier in 2014, falling relaitvely silent since then. This week sees the videogame reappear with the reveal of a brand new type of creature, a Griffin. A new screenshot revealing the beast can be seen below.
The image was shared by the title’s developers along with the message “Something before bed time 🙂 The first screenshot of our new griffin.”
Wander is a first-person MMO which focuses on exploration instead of combat, so it’s not clear how creatures such as the Griffin will factor into the experience. Players start out as walking trees, and must work with other players to progress. As they progress through the title, they will morph into different types of characters.
Though a PlayStation 4 version of Wander has been confirmed, the developers haven’t commented on if it will include support for the Project Morpheus VR headset. On PC is also integrates the Razer Hydra motion controller. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any more updates on its development.
