This week saw the announcement of Verde Station from indie developer Duelboot. The title is currently running a Steam Greenlight campaign in hopes to secure a spot on Valve’s digital store come full release. Should all go to plan then it’s set to arrive in autumn 2014 with full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. Now the first trailer for the title has been released, and can be seen below.
The trailer contains just over a minute and a half of gameplay from the first-person exploration title. In it, players are placed on the Verde space station at the start of a year-long mission to help grow plants in the facility’s greenhouse section. As the title progresses, the protagonist begins to lose their grip on reality, eventually having to make decisions between what is real and what isn’t.
Verde Station won’t focus on any type of combat or puzzle-solving, instead concentrating on its story telling. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress going forward and report back with any more updates on its development.
