Independent development studio Fire Panda has today achieved the funding goal required for the upcoming RedOfPaw’s Big Crazy Stupid VR Adventure and American Pie. Though little is yet known about the project, it’s highly likely that it will present a surreal take on it’s subject matter: a developer’s journey to the US to attend the upcoming Oculus Connect event.
As can be seen on the Kickstarter page for RedOfPaw’s Big Crazy Stupid VR Adventure and American Pie, very little of the content is likely to be of a serious nature. However, Fire Panda’s previous virtual reality (VR) products suggest that the lone developer, Nick Pittom, is capable of creating some very high quality works. Having previously developed The Boiler Room, based on Spirited Away, and a scene from My Neighbor Totoro, Pittom has already found himself a keen audience within the VR community.
Exactly what form RedOfPaw’s Big Crazy Stupid VR Adventure and American Pie will take is not yet known, however Pittom has promised to deliver a trailer for the project soon and a demo in due course. VRFocus are following this project closely and will keep you updated with all the latest details.
