Next week sees the inaugural South West Virtual Reality (SWVR) meetup take place, gathering a range of virtual reality (VR) developers, fans and enthusiasts under one roof in Bristol, UK. The organisers have already confirmed a range of high-profile VR figureheads for the event such as Oculus VR’s Callum Underwood and Q.U.B.E developer Toxic Games, but has today revealed two more attendees.
First up is Tammeka Games, the developer behind the upcoming VR compatible sci-fi racing title, Radial-G. Producer Sam Watts will be heading to the event to show off the title, which is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help fund development. Also in attendance is Red of Paw’s Nick Pittom, the developer behind VR adaptions of scenes from Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro as well as the upcoming Oculus Connect-based RedOfPAw’s Big Crazy Stupid VR Adventure and American Pie, which recently passed its own Kickstarter campaign.
The event takes place on Tuesday, 29th July 2014, starting at 19:00 BST. You can sign up to attend at the official Meetup page. Attendees will get to sample a range of VR tech, including the Oculus Rift and motion controllers such as the Razer Hydra.
