Following the launch of its Steam Greenlight campaign earlier this week Imaginary Game Studio has posted new footage of its upcoming survival horror title, Perturbia. A brief sneak peek of the title, which will feature full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), can be seen below, providing a sense of the atmosphere that players can expect from the title.
The clip clocks in at just 37 seconds and simply features a player briefly exploring a darkened room, though the background noise certainly helps establish a grim mood for the horror title. Perturbia aims to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Silent Hill and Alone in the Dark in forging a classic survival horror experience in which players must scavenge for limited supplies and solve logic-based puzzles.
The end of the clip also reminds fans of the ongoing Steam Greenlight campaign, which hopes to secure enough positive votes to launch on Valve’s digital store come full release. Should all go to plan then Perturbia aims to launch on PC in the final quarter of 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
