One of the big draws of Vertigo Games’ virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, World of Diving, is its community-driven content. The developer has pledged to support its players by releasing new content updates for the title which have been developed with the help, ideas and suggestions of the community. Today sees the launch of the first piece of such content, based on the My Little Pony franchise.
The update, which can be seen in a trailer below, is titled HMS Tranquility, and has been developed with the help of contributor Sgt_Brony. It allows players to strap on an Oculus Rift VR headset or a standard monitor and explore an underwater shipwreck which features a familiar site for fans of the popular animiated series. Players can take their time exploring the dive site together.
Also included in this new update are ‘various performance optimizations’ as well as the ability to allow players to swim faster and the inclusion of new daily missions that will provide the community with new tasks around the clock. Those interested in World of Diving can pre-order the title at its official website to gain full access to the pre-release version of the title. It’s also due for release on Xbox One. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress going forward and report back with any more updates.
