The past two weeks have seen a range of cinema-replicating experiences launch for virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays (HMD). The Oculus Rift has seen both Eel Creak Cinema and Riftmax Theater 4D, while the Cmoar HMD launched its own app on Android that creates a virtual space for viewing video content. Now VR-Logic has brought a similar experience to our attention, named Infinity VR Drive-In. A trailer for the experience can be seen below.
Infinity VR Drive-In is, as the name suggests, a virtual recreation of a drive-in cinema experience. Players have full control of a car that they can drive around a open air space with a large screen at one end of the environment. The screen will play the user’s video content, supporting a range of file types. The experience is compatible with the Oculus Rift HMD on PC.
Infinity VR Drive-In can be bought now on PC from the title’s official website, with a Mac version listed as coming soon. The 520 MB download is compatible with both the Oculus Rift’s first and second development kits (DK1 and DK2). VRFocus will continue to follow any and all new releases in VR, reporting back with any more updates.
