This week sees the arrival of a new alpha demo video of the upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible dungeon crawling videogame, Crystal Rift. The video, which can be seen below, offers just over five minutes off footage from the title, which is due to support the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD) on PC, Mac and Unix.
The video feature commentary from the title’s developer, who talks us through some of the controls as well as mechanics that we can expect to encounter in the full title. Crystal Rift uses square-based movement, meaning players move across an in-game grid as they overcome various obstacles and traps and endure a range of scares that the developer has set out for players. An in-game editor will also feature in the title.
It’s not yet clear when Crystal Rift will be launching. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development going forward, reporting back with any more updates on its progress.
