Indie developer Lucid VR has released a new trailer for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, ZVR Apocalypse. The video, which can be seen below, has been released in time for E3 2014 running on 10th – 12th June 2014 in Los Angeles, California. It shows off gameplay footage taken from the first-person shooter’s (FPS) playable demo for the event, using the Oculus Rift VR headset.
ZVR Apocalypse places players on a stationary gun turret and tasks them with surviving for as long as possible. Hordes of zombies approach the player, which they must fend off using the turret, a secondary pistol and, in desperate cases, melee attacks. The trailer gives an up close look at the title’s detailed zombies, showcasing a ‘Focus’ mechanic that appears to slow down time so users can take time to aim headshots.
Details surrounding ZVR Apocalypse‘s release are unclear right now. Perhaps the developer will divulge more information at next week’s show. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with any more news and updates.
