Stompz developer Matt Carrell has revealed a new preview of the forthcoming Stompz motion-control input device via the popular virtual reality (VR) videogame, Affected. Developed as a ‘proof of concept’, Affected is available to download now via Oculus Share and Stompz will be made available to the public in due course.
The demonstration video below was created using Affected and Stompz with a model who is benefiting from her first experience of the former. A Leap Motion is also mounted upon the Oculus Rift seen in this video (often used in such a fashion for hand-tracking) however Affected does not feature support for this device and as such it remains unused. The video below acts as an introduction to a new version of Stompz and VRFocus recently sat down with Carrell to discuss the product in more depth; the full-length interview will be available very soon.
