Octagon Interactive’s Beasts of Prey has had a busy week, officially launching on Steam’s Early Access program on 5th June 2014. Since then we’ve seen a launch trailer for the massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) and now we have a range of new images to compliment the launch. A total of 12 new screenshots taken from the title’s gameplay can be seen below.
The images provide a glimpse at a few of features that were missing from yesterday’s launch trailer. Namely, there’s a number of shots that give us a look at the title’s dinosaurs, which roam the land as players try to survive building settlements and increasing resources. One top in particular shows a Triceretops being very aggressive, suggesting players will need to build quite an aresnal to defend themselves.
Also included is an expanded look at some of the title’s weaponry, including sniper rifles and what appears to be a sub-machine gun, as well as the axe that players will use to gather resources.
Beasts of Prey is currently available on both PC and Mac for a reduced price of £21.59 GBP, which rises to £26.99 on 12th June. The title comes with full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. Octagon Interactive hopes to keep the title in Early Access development for no longer than six months before moving into a full version. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress report on all the latest.
