Big news for Creative Assembly’s upcoming survival horror experience Alien: Isolation has already been made during this year’s E3 in Los Angeles, California. It has already been revealed that the title will support the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset on the PC, and is playable with the experience at Oculus VR’s booth. Now the experience has received its official E3 trailer, which can be seen below.
Around a minute and a half of footage taken from the title can be seen, setting an incredibly dark atmosphere. Protagonist Amanda Ripley’s voice can be heard as she hides from the various dangers found on the title’s space station setting. Certainly not least among the threats is the iconic Alien which stalks and tracks Ripley as the experience develops. Also seen are humanoid enemies and another look at the flamethrower weapon.
Alien: Isolation is set to release on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on 7th October 2014. It is not yet known if the title will feature support for the Project Morpheus VR headset on the PlayStation 4. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development and report back with any more updates.
