Vertigo Games has launched a new update for its virtual reality (VR) compatible underwater exploration title, World of Diving. The latest upgrade adds a range of new features to the Oculus Rift VR headset compatible experience, including the debut of deep-sea gameplay amoung other things. The developer has also released some brand new footage of the experience which can be seen below.
Also included in the update is improvements to the AI of the fish you’ll find beneath the water. The developer has also included procedurally animated shark behaviour. A new underwater propulsion tool will also be available to help players navigate the new maps. The video, which can be seen below, highlights some of these new features in footage that takes divers around a shipwreck.
World of Diving launched its first multiplayer build in March 2014 and has continued to update and upgrade on the path to a full release ever since. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with any more updates.
