VR Teaser Trailer Released for Experience/Japan

Polygon Window Productions has released a brand new virtual reality (VR) teaser trailer for the upcoming VR film, Experience/Japan. It contains over 2 minutes of live action footage from the experience, which doubles as both a virtual tour and fictional narrativre. The clip can be viewed using the Oculus Rift VR headset and is available for free through the Oculus VR Share Beta on PC and Mac.

ExperienceJapan_1The full experience is designed to help viewers experience new cultures and environments like never before. It will cast viewers as Tom, a tourist visiting Japan for the first time. The story starts at the airport, where Tom meets his friend Koij. Koij then leads you through the Tokyo Metro to his home before taking you into the city to explore a wide range of settings and life styles.

Polygon Window Productions hasn’t yet given an official release date for Experience/Japan. The studio is however accepting donations on its official site, where it promises that the trailer is ‘only a small taste’ of the final experience. VRFocus will continue to follow the progress of Experience/Japan and report back with any more details.
