Indie developer nDreams has confirmed that it is aiming to coincide the launch of its upcoming cross-platform virtual reality (VR) title with the launch of both the Project Morpheus PlayStation 4 headset and the Oculus Rift PC headset. Company CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh confirmed as much at a Develop’s ‘An Audience with Project Morpheus’ panel focused on the PlayStation 4 headset, stating that the title should be ‘ready for launch’ with both devices.
nDreams is planning to reveal the title at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles, running from 10th – 12th June. The announcement will include a playable demo of the experience. It’s the first of 3 Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus videogames that the now VR-dedicated developer is working on, with other ‘unique VR projects‘ also in the works. The title is described as an adventure experience ‘designed for VR with a powerful story’.
The team has been hosting a development diary on VRFocus for the past few weeks now. The most recent entry began to detail the development of the E3 demo and the progress it has been making in the build up to the show. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development and report back with any more news.
