TECHNOLUST Passes Next Stretch Goal, Getting Wastelands Area

Indie developer Iris VR has passed its next Kickstarter campaign stretch goal for $50,000 CAD for its upcoming adventure title, TECHNOLUST. The virtual reality (VR) exclusive experience will now be adding a new Wastelands area to its future, sci-fi city setting. This marks the third stretch goal that the campaign for the PC, Mac and Linux title has crossed since passing its initial $30,000 goal, with an original score and support for Sixense’s STEM motion controller also set to be included.

The developer hasn’t yet detailed what will go into the Wastelands area. As it stands, the city environment that the title is set in will allow players to visit arcades and collect items to view in their own personal space. There will also be a storyline which sees players join a resistance against the corporations that have taken hold of the city with control over technologies such as cheap 3D printing and flawless VR.

TECHNOLUST has less than 2 days left on its Kickstarter campaign, coming to a close on 11th May 2014. At the time of writing the title sits at $51,362 raised and hopes to reach at least another stretch goal of $55,000 for a new Mars Colony area before finishing. VRFocus will continue to report on the title’s progress and report back with all the latest details.
