Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR) has confirmed that Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) will be bringing its Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) headset to the first ever SVVR Conference & Expo on 19th and 20th May 2014 in Mountain View, California. The event had already confirmed that one of the devices creators, Richard Marks, would be attending the show as a panelist, but this is the first world we’ve had on the headset itself showing up.
“We are proud to announce that a number of exciting exhibitors have joined on since our last update, including Project Morpheus,” a newsletter on the upcoming event read. “A big thanks to the Sony Magic Lab team for supporting our efforts!”
This marks a rare appearance from Project Morpheus since the kit’s reveal at the 2014 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March. Since then the device has only been shown off to press and attendees of the EVE Fanfest that won a chance to play EVE: Valkyrie using it. Will we see new content for the device at SVVR? Or will SCE plan to reveal more about it at its E3 2014 press conference on 9th June?
