Indie developer Mad Games has revealed new details for its upcoming horror title, Sofia. A new post from the team has revealed that the virtual reality (VR) experience will allow players to explore the titular town of Sofia in both the past and present, with some new screenshots comparing the same area over the course of time. Sofia was announced as Mad Games’ debut effort last week, and will come with full support for the Oculus Rift VR headset.
As the images seen below show, the two time zones have different weather effects. As the developer explains, it will always be snowing in Sofia in the past, while the present sections will see a constant downpour of rain. The team also revealed that the title’s protagonist will be named Logan. He’ll explore the story behind the town by discovering notes. Players will also be able to enter more than half of the structures on the map.
Sofia is an open world horror experience developed in the Unity engine. Mad Games is yet to reveal when the title might see a full release. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and continue to report on any more updates.
