Untold Games has uploaded a new video for its upcoming story-driven virtual reality (VR) adventure title, Loading Human. The video, which can be seen below, details the videogame’s narrative, as described by creative director Flavio Parenti. Loading Human is currently just under $200 USD away from reaching its Kickstarter funding goal of $30,000, with a little less than 2 weeks to go until its 5th June 2014 deadline.
The video sees Parenti explain the premise of the game, in which a legendary physicist, responsible for inventing an engine capable of interstellar travel, builds a machine to prevent himself succumbing to old age. The machine, named Lazarus, slows down the aging of the body’s cells, though it proves less effective after 5 decades of use. Players are cast as his son, Prometheus, who must find an energy source named the quintessence to power the machine and make it start reversing ages as opposed to slowing it down.
Also included in the video is a fresh look at some in-game footage from the title as well a glimpse at concept art and more. Should Loading Human pass its Kickstarter campaign then it hopes to launch the first of 3 episodes in February 2015 for PC, Mac and Steam OS. A PlayStation 4 version of the title is also possible, though yet to be officially confirmed. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development and report back with all the latest.
