Indie developer Black Delta’s upcoming kart racing simulation title, KartSim, has officially passed its Steam Greenlight campaign. The title, which is set to support the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, will now be sold on Valve’s digital store come release. Said campaign was posted on 17th April 2014, meaning it’s taken just under 2 weeks to be approved as one of the 75 titles passed in a recent Greenlight update.
KartSim is set to offer realistic racing through either multiplayer and single player matches or sandbox stunt driving. The title features 5 different laser scanned tracks for accuarcy and another 5 different kinds of customisable kart. The title is set to add in support for the Oculus Rift during an Early Access phase of development in which those interested will be able to buy and play a pre-release version of the title.
KartSim is aiming for a mid 2014 launch, though it’s not clear if this will be an Early Access version of the experience for the full release. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and bring you all the latest on its development.
