Hover: Revolt of Gamers Adds New Stretch Goals for Hoverboard & More

Upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible title Hover: Revolt of Gamers has updated its Kickstarter campaign, adding 2 new stretch goals to the already successful project. The title now includes a $125,000 USD goal to add a swing-hook item and a Back to the Future-style hoverboard to the experience, as well as a $150,000 goal allowing players to customise both a male and female playable character. The title is set to arrive with support for the Oculus Rift VR headset.

The swing-hook takes its inspiration from the Spider-Man franchise, which the developer reveals was a reference point for the original experience that has players perform stunts and tricks around a futuristic city. The magnetic hook will allow you to swing from building to building across the city. The customiseable characters were created in response to ‘high demand’ from the community.

At the time of writing, Hover: Revolt of Gamers sits at over $85,000 raised with 2 weeks to go before its 22nd May closure. The title’s original goal was set at $38,000, and it still has a $100,000 goal in front of it for local multiplayer and a Wii U version before it can focus on these two latest additions. The title is set to launch on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One PlayStation 4 in April 2015.  VRFocus will continue to follow the title and report back with all the latest.
