At this month’s EVE Fanfast 2014 VRFocus had the pleasure of meeting with several members of the EVE Valkyrie development team. Sitting down and discussing the project, virtual reality (VR) technology and the audience that CCP Games hope to reach, the conversations were interesting and varied. Today VRFocus brings you the first in a series of video interviews with the team, starting with Lead Game Designer, Christopher Smith.
Talking with VRFocus, Smith reveals where he came into the project – openly suggesting that he himself is a ‘noob’ – and that his role is to help make the original EVE VR prototype into a ‘real’ videogame. No easy task, then, but from VRFocus‘ experiences with EVE Valkyrie through numerous iterations it’s certainly making great progress. The full video interview with Smith follows below and VRFocus will bring you much more coverage of EVE Valkyrie in the near future.
