Beasts of Prey, the upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible dinosaur massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS), has officially passed its Steam Greenlight campaign. The title, which is compatible with the Oculus Rift VR headset, will now be available for sale on Valve’s digital store come full release. It’s one of a number of VR titles to be Greenlit this week, including the likes of Spectre and Let’s Go Camping!
Beasts of Prey is a sandbox online survival FPS in which players must gather resources from where they start with a combat knife. Eventually they will gather enough materials too start building structures such as houses and factories, all the while avoiding attacks from dinosaurs. Players will be able to form alliances to conquer towns and cities and rule them together.
The title is hoping to launch in either the second or third quarter of 2014, placing its release at roughly a year from now. An Early Access phase of development is planned for those that want to help test the title before full release. VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest surrounding Beasts of Prey and bring it you.
