Indie developer Jespionage Entertainment has released a new virtual reality (VR) compatible skiing experience on to the Oculus VR Share Beta and SnowDrift. The title, which supports the Oculus Rift VR headset is available as a free download on both PC and Mac. The title aims to provide a realistic skiing experience for users in the comfort of their own homes. A brief trailer for the simulator can be seen below.
SnowDrift is a first-person experience in which users can ski across and open-ended mountain resort. Players can chose their own route down the mountain and go at their own pace, either taking in the scenery or aiming to reach the end as quickly as possible. It features support for both the traditional keyboard setup as well as compatibility with game pads.
It’s not the only skiing experience to recently hit the Oculus Rift. Developer Azerbo released a demo version for Top Ski Racing 2014 earlier in the month. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all uses of the Oculus Rift and bring you the latest.
