Little Green Men Games has updated the beta version of its space combat title, Starpoint Gemini 2. This latest upgrade integrates Steam Workshop into the experience, allowing users to publish and share mods on Valve’s digital platform. It also brings a list of new gameplay features to the title, which features support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, as well as various bug fixes.
Ship cloaking is one of the big new additions, allowing players to sneak up on enemies. There’s also the addition of a junkyard world and the launch of some global events for players to take part in. The developer also explained that the list of upgrades took a little longer to implement than planned, thus it has pushed back the release of the title’s campaign mode a little further. It did reassure that the campaign was still coming, however.
Starpoint Gemini 2 is currently available on Steam Early Access. The price is usually set at £18.99 GBP, but has 25% off to £14.24 until 30th April. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with the latest developments.
