You can expect virtual reality (VR) to be a great platform for innovative ideas and creative videogames over the coming years. Upcoming PC experience Private Eye is one of the early signs that this will be the case, with a premise that’s rarely been touched upon in the medium. Cast as private detective Sam Sunderland, players must piece together a high-profile murder case by observing the lives of the inhabitants of a block of apartments across the street from yours.
VRFocus recently got the chance to speak with developer Jake Slack about the title at the EGX Rezzed expo in Birmingham. In the interview below Slack talks about the title’s demo, the reception to the experience so far and integration with the Oculus Rift VR headset. Private Eye is currently running a Steam Greenlight campaign with a Kickstarter effort due to start in the near future. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development and report back with all the latest.
