Developer Untold Games has revealed that it could implement support for YEI Technologies’ PrioVR fully body motion controller into its upcoming project, Loading Human. Responding to a question about possible support for the device, the developer stated that it thought the technology was ‘amazing’ but needed an evaluation before the team could pledge support for its title.
“PrioVR could be an amazing controller for our VR adventure,” the developer wrote on Twitter, “but we need to evaluate it first before giving our full support.”
Loading Human currently features support for the Oculus Rift VR headset and other motion controllers such as the Razer Hydra. The title is a first-person adventure in which an alzheimer’s patient must try and recreate past memories in order to store them on a digital brain. The title involves many real-world actions which could be replicated with PrioVR. The motion controller, which recently ended a successful Kickstarter campaign, straps different sensors to the users’ body to provide full body tracking.
Loading Human is on track to release on PC later on in 2014 with full Oculus Rift support. PrioVR hopes to start shipping its first units in June. VRFocus will continue to follow the development of both Loading Human and PrioVR and bring you all the latest on them.
