Totoro VR is moving into final stages,” Pittom wrote on Twitter. “Animation is excellent, interaction is coming in. Still need to add a toad. Who’s got an umbrella?”

Pittom didn’t confirm how soon the project would launch after completion. It will be the developer’s second Studio Ghibli project following the launch of the boiler room scene from Spirited Away earlier this year. Both experiences allow you to tour the virtual environments using an Oculus Rift VR headset. VRFocus will continue to follow the project’s progress and report back with all the latest.
