Indie developer trans321 has released his first-person horror experience, Deep Down In Space, onto the official Oculus Share VR Beta, a portal for free virtual reality (VR) experiences. The developer originally shared the title through the Oculus VR forums, but it has now received a more official release for both PC and Mac. The experience is compatible with the Oculus Rift VR headset.
Deep Down In Space is a randomised horror experience similar to that of Slender: The Arrival. Players step into the shoes of the only survivor of an alien-infested spaceship that is on its way back to Earth. It is your job to navigate the ship, activating 7 circuit boards hidden around the environment in order to gain access to the main reactor core and destroy the vessel after escaping from it.
The developer has been accepting donations from fans of the title via Paypal, with money raised going towards a license for the Unity videogame engine. The title can also be played on a standard monitor without the Oculus Rift. VRFocus will continue to follow th development of any and all VR projects and bring you the latest.
