Glitchspace Releases on Steam Early Access

Indie developer Space Budgie’s Glitchspace has officially released on Steam’s Early Access program. Players can get an early taste of the upcoming first person title, which comes with support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. The Early Access version is priced at £4.99 GBP and is available for PC, Mac and Linux.

glitchspace_1Glitchspace is described as a first-person programming title in which players manipulate surfaces to progress through a level. Players move, resize and remove blocks to create pathways through environments. It boasts a clean, minimalist art style. The Early Access version holds around an hour of content, with the developer promising 2 – 3 hours total play time in the full release. It will also include a sandbox mode.

Space Budgie has also said that a range of improvements will be heading to the final release, including tweaks to the audio, puzzles and aesthetics. Players are also encouraged to report any bugs they discover so that they may be addressed in fortnightly updates.

Glitchspace passed its Steam Greenlight campaign last month. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress leading up to its full release and report back with all the latest.
